| Would it be worth trying to port halo to Cry engine 2? They have some great tools for modding and it should be real easy. | |

| that is completely impossible to do. 1. It is illegal to mod halo. 2. it is illegal to rip the physics engine and stuff from Crysis. 3. we got some great modding tools for Halo, which makes stuff real easy to do great things. 4. I would rather if this discussion were to continue to keep it to the hypothetical. | |

If you are going to do anything like that, you'd be breaking over 20 copyright and ownership laws. | |

| Crytek doesn't care about modders. They have realsed some great tools to use for the purpose of modding and using their engine. Why do you still mod Halo if its illegal? This is simalar to what I was asking and they are not in trouble. http://www.desertcombat.com/ | |

| yes. anyway, we mod halo still because nobody takes Microsoft seriously. I myself have posted mods on bungie's site and I have yet to be banned from there. | |

| BTW people are making their own games on the engine. http://www.obsidianedge.net/And yes it is completely legal to do what you want. Porting halo would be an issue because microsoft would find out. Next they send their legal team. | |
